On the road to Lahaina you pass Papawai Point a scenic point with spectacular ocean views and whale watching opportunities. You will drive through the only tunnel in Maui, at the 11 to 12 mile marks are Papalua Beach and Ukumehame Beach. Half way to historic Lahaina is Launiupoko Wayside State park followed by Puamana Park where you can sit back and enjoy the ocean views. You can turn right on any of the 4 exits to reach Lahaina and Front Street where all the parking lots are located.  

Lahaina's heritage is based on the whaling town of the Pacific in the 1800's. Lahaina has restored its many historic sites, buildings, attracting some of the best restaurants and shops you'll find anywhere.

Souvenir shopping where you'll find everything under the sun. From T-shirts, clothing, toe rings, gifts they never miss a beat. Specialty shops were amazing: music shops, art galleries, jewelry, whaler shop and many more. We had a wonderful time shopping in Lahaina as a matter of fact we spent a good 2 days enjoying all the shops, galleries, restaurants and ocean excursions.

As you stroll up and down the fascinating port town keep your eye peeled for adventure on the land, in the air and on the sea. You'll find plenty of kiosks where you'll find the best activities at great discounted prices. 

We experienced the ultimate whale watch, a fascinating snorkel trip to Molokini Island, sunset cocktail cruise and a entertaining submarine tour all from Lahaina Harbor.
