us at the Best Western Holiday Motel and be central to all Coos Bay
and North Bend area activities. Across the street is the boardwalk,

of the area, take a short drive to the state parks and botanical
gardens. In one afternoon you may walk the sandy beaches of
Bastendorff State Park, explore the tide pools nestled in Sunset Bay
State Park, whale watch and enjoy the gardens at Shore Acres State
Park, or pull off the road and watch sea lions in their natural
habitat at Seal Rock. Oregon Dunes National Recreation area is 41
miles of spectacular sand dunes extending from North Bend to
Florence, 32,000 acres of open dunes, grasslands, marshes and forest
lands, nature trails, surf and lake fishing, crabbing, claming,
picnicking. Dune buggies and ATVs are permitted in some areas.
Golden and Silver Falls State Park is east of Coos Bay, where you
can walk approximately ½ mile on nature trails to two scenic
100-foot waterfalls, and drive through the old growth Myrtlewood and
Douglas fir forest. Ten-Mile Lakes Park, 12 miles north of Coos Bay,
is the 3rd largest used lake in Oregon. Ten-Mile Lake encompasses
2,723 acres of fishing, skiing, swimming, boating and sailing fun.
