The Courtland Hotel & AVEDA Spa Salon is the last of Fort Scott's
Railroad era Hotels. It has been converted into a Destination Hotel
& AVEDA Spa Salon, set in the heart of Historic Downtown Fort Scott,
Kansas. It is located in the little Ozark region of Southeast
Kansas. Fort Scott has many local attractions within walking
distance, for almost anyones taste of activity they are Restored
1840's Military Fort, a National Historic site, Visitor Information
Center, Dolly The Trolley with a narrated historic tour of the city
and the National Cemetery, Crooner Lounge, 1873 Old Congregational
Church Genealogical Library, and swimming pool, tennis courts,
walking/jogging track, wonderful park for picnicing, and -to scale-
train town (by appointment).The remodeling of the hotel saved the
beautiful, spacious lobby as well as the large open stairway that
leads to the guest rooms that are located on the second floor. With
the addition of the AVEDA Day Spa Salon the facility allows for
couples, groups or individuals to be able to
��Get Away�� and
��Indulge�� themselves
with accommodations, spa/salon services, and to awaken to the aroma
of hot coffee and enjoy a continental breakfast of fruits, juices,
breads and pastries, in the spacious dining area. The entire hotel
or just part of it can be reserved for special events, such as
family reunions, business meetings, social events, receptions, even
weddings. This allows the utmost privacy for the special
occasion.The hotel has 15 guest rooms. (All second floor and
non-smoking). All have private baths, individual room climate
controls, and cable TV. A house telephone is located in the landing,
at the top of the stairs. There are 6 suite rooms and two of them
have 2 twin beds in them for ladies groups or friends traveling
together. A continental breakfast is provided every morning. The
dinning room can be used for many different occasions, family
gatherings, catered group meals and corporate meetings.
