The few blocks that make up the town center are notably refined and well tended. The finest buildings in the center are the two 19th century cathedrals, St. Paul’s and St. Peter’s Catholic Cathedral built a few years later. Located in the northwest of the city; the Museum of Archeology focuses on the 1,100 year history of the settlement of the area. The adjacent Lawson Indian Village is a popular attraction here. This reconstruction of a 500 year old village, once occupied by the Neutral Indians, has elm long houses and cedar wood palisades.
